E-Team Squadra Corse is the Formula SAE team of University of Pisa. This challenging experience started back in 2007 and has been growing and improving each year thanks to the contributions by many talented students.
The team designs, manufactures and competes with single-seater cars in the Formula SAE circuit. Since 2021 it builds two cars, the combustion one and the driverless one. The combustion vehicle is a prototype with a monocoque frame, made mainly of carbon, which aims to achieve maximum performance. The aim of the driverless vehicle is equiped with fully capable autonomous driving.
If you want to get to know the team better you can visit their website, or their social pages.
Yesterday 11 March 2022 the collaboration between Purmate and the E-Team Squadra Corse officially began.
What prompted us at Purmate to accept the collaboration proposal of these guys?
First of all our curiosity in constantly seeking collaborations in the scientific field, our propensity for research and development in order to significantly improve the working method by offering innovative products, safe for the operator and the environment, and finally our trust in the new generations. We think that these young people need tangible opportunities, which can open their doors in the immediate future in the world of work.
After the first approaches, at the end of 2021, through meetings on digital platforms, they convinced us to support them thanks to their seriousness, their enthusiasm and their organization. We found ourselves in front of a real professional team, like those we usually follow as suppliers.
For these reasons we have decided to support the team by providing a series of high technical products, hoping that they will help them make a further qualitative leap in the construction and management of the two single-seaters that will race in the Formula Student championship (FSAE).
Yesterday we went to meet them personally, delivering to them what they requested, and creating together the first polyurethane seat for their car. We were very enthusiastic about them, and we can’t wait to see the video published of how the seat was made to make the driver’s driving more comfortable in future races.
Guys, we wish you a good job!
